The Lovely Bones
The latest from Lord Of The Rings (and lest we forget, Bad Taste, Braindead and Meet The Feebles) director Peter Jackson adapts the hugely-popular Alice Sebold novel for the big screen. Starring theUK ’s own Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon and Mark Wahlberg, it tells the story of a young girl who’s been murdered watching over her family. Saorsie Ronan who plays said girl is already being tipped for an Oscar. Out January 29.
I Love You Phillip Morris.
Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor play a gay couple in this film based on a true story. Carrey plays a policeman who comes out as gay after a road accident. He decides to start living life to the full - even if it means breaking the law. He eventually ends up in jail - where he meets and falls in love with Phillip Morris, played by McGregor. But his dedication to getting Phillip out of jail prompts Steven to attempt and often succeed at increasingly implausible cons. Out February 12.
A Couple Of Cops
The new Kevin Smith movie stars Bruce Willis, Jason Lee, Michelle Trachtenberg and is a comedy about a couple of detectives who’s adventures include rescuing a damsel in distress as well as dealing with gangsters who are trying to launder money. It was supposed to be called A Couple Of Dicks, but it seems the studio got a bit sqeaumish about the double entendre. It’s the first movie that Smith hasn’t written himself, which means it will be his third outside of his View Askewniverse series of films and characters that started with Clerks. It hits cinemas on Febrary 26, but because the studio are still not sure about the name, there's no official trailer yet. So instead, here's Bruce Willis singing Under The Boardwalk back when he had hair:
Tim Burton’s latest movie stars his long-term collaborator Johnny Depp bringing out his impeccable English accent as the Mad Hatter, as well as his missus Helena Bonham Carter in a version of the Lewis Carroll classic that already looks as visually inventive as some of Burton’s best works. Using state-of-the-art CGI mixed with conventional filming techniques to create a not-quite-cartoon, but not-quite-reality alternative universe of Alice ’s imagining. Also stars Stephen Fry, Matt Lucas and Barbara Windsor. Out on March 5.
Ironman 2
Robert Downey Jnr returns as the superhero, backed up by a stellar cast including Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow reprising her role as Pepper Potts, with added Mickey Rourke as baddie Whiplash for more rip-roaring fun and action adventure. Again, it’s directed by Jon Favreau of Swingers fame. Out on 7 May. It's so hotly-anticipated that the trailer has been leaked online already - here it is, in very poor quality. We cannot WAIT to see it properly:

Robin Hood
Gladiator director Ridley Scott teams up with Russell Crowe again for another historical romp – this time, wearing tights. All thoughts of Kevin Costner however and Bryan Adams barking out Anything I Do, I Do It For You should be banished right now. This looks very cool indeed. Opens May 14.
Sex And The City 2
SJP and the gang arrive for another Manolo-clad scamper across the silver screen in a sequel to the hugely-popular movie of the TV show about the Manhattan thirty and fortysomethings. This time round, guest stars include Miley Cyrus, Penelope Cruz, Liza Minnelli and erm, British/Iranian comedian Omid Djalili. Opens May 28. No trailer yet - but here are some desperados desperate to share screentime with the Fab Fashionista Four.
Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time
Based on a video game, this stars a ridculously ripped and buff Jake Gyllenhaal spending much of his time with his top off, which is pretty much the only reason you need to go and watch it. And yes, gentlemen, that includes you too. Hits the screens on May 28 - get your smelling salts ready.
The A-Team
The continued fascination with making old TV shows into Hollywood movies continues apace, but now that Seventies have been well and truly plundered, it's time for Hollywood to turn its attention to the Eighties. The big screen version of The A-Team stars the likes of Liam Neeson, Jessica Biel and Bradley Cooper, but for the life of us, we can't understand why they didn't get BA Baracchus on board. We await the Hart To Hart movie version with great anticipation...The A-Team opens on July 30. No trailer yet, but here's the original opening sequence:
Get Him To The Greek
Russell Brand reprises his role as rocker Aldous Snow alongside Rose Byrne, Colm Meaney, Jonah Hill, P Diddy and real-life girlfriend Katy Perry in the follow-up to last year's Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
The blurb says: Aaron Greenberg (Hill) gets things done. The ambitious 23-year-old has exaggerated his way into a dream job just in time for a career-making assignment. His mission: Fly to London and escort rock god Snow to LA's Greek Theatre for the first-stop on a $100-million tour. As the countdown to the concert begins, one intern must navigate a minefield of London drug smuggles, New York City brawls and Vegas lap dances to deliver his charge safe and, sort of, sound. He may have to coax, lie to, enable and party with Aldous, but Aaron will get him to the Greek. Opens July 28. No trailer for The Greek yet, but here's the trailer for the original
